Sopot is a small town, situated at the
south slopes of Stara Planina. Stara Planina is a mountain range
crossing almost the whole Our region has also an interesting
historical heritage. People lived
here since Thracian times. In Sopot are a lot of authentic
fountains with cold spring water and beautiful cobblestone streets. Of interest are the churches, the
monastery and the house-museum of the most famous Bulgarian writer Ivan Vazov
who was born here. You can feel the spirit of the
Renaissance and the old handicrafts. The climate here is mild and soft with a
